Mr. Grant Gilbert
Student & Special Projects Director, The Cleveland Cavaliers
Currently a senior at the University of Michigan, Grant Gilbert splits his time between his studies and his role as Special Projects Director for the Cleveland Cavaliers.
A born entrepreneur, Gilbert has been investing in the growing start up scene in his native Detroit from a very young age by founding several businesses, including a clothing and accessories company hatched during high school. PRWDetroit partnered with Caliber Detroit to raise awareness around gun violence by fashioning bracelets out of gun shells swept from Detroit crime scenes. A portion of the company’s proceeds were donated to organizations supporting the victims, families and communities devasted by illegal gun violence.
Mindful Projects, Gilbert’s latest venture, helps close the geographic and cultural gap between Ann Arbor and Detroit by facilitating events in the city for University of Michigan students who otherwise may never gain familiarity with a thriving entertainment scene in the region where they are studying.
Post-graduation, Gilbert plans to apply his entrepreneurial experiences to immersing himself in the art, music and fashion industries.
